The object shown is an extraordinary three-light floor lamp from the 1960s, which can be classified as part of the Italian Mid - Century style.
The design is strongly inspired by the aesthetics of the so-called "Stilnovo" era, specifically reminiscent of models by the company Lumenform, which can also be identified as the manufacturer by the brand logo "lmf" inside the red shade.
Lumenform was an Italian manufacturer that produced luminaires in the style of Gino Sarfatti and Angelo Lelli in the 1950s and 60s - partly independently and partly based on the work of these famous designers.
The lamp is made up of three intersecting, slender metal struts, which are painted black at the bottom and finished with brass sleeves. These are anchored in a round black base with inlaid, decorative brass triangles, giving the lamp an additional graphic accent.
The three swivelling lampshades are made of colored lacquered sheet aluminum and each has a trumpet-like double cone shape.
They are individually colored - one shade in black, one in green and black and one in red and black stripes - giving the luminaire a playful yet elegantly balanced appearance.
The shades can be individually aligned thanks to the ball joints and are each painted cream on the inside to reflect the light pleasantly.
A special detail is the Lumenform (lmf) company logo visible on the inside of one shade - an oval stamped mark typical of Italian productions of this era.
The shades have toggle switches, allowing each light source to be operated separately. The stylistic proximity to models by Stilnovo or Arredoluce, such as the asymmetrical structure and the material combination of brass, lacquered steel and aluminum, suggests that this luminaire belongs to the same design movement.
