Product description
This bright red desk lamp was designed in the late 1960’s by the iconic Czech lightning designer Josef Hurka and was produced by NAPAKO.
Josef Hurka is considered by many as the most talented and commercially most successful Czech lighting designer of the second part of the 20th Century. Almost every Czech household had at least one piece designed by him somewhere in their homes.
This lamp has a minimal form and is a striking red colour, but the ’C’ shaped steel rod is the main design feature. The switch is placed on the top of adjustable lampshade. Despite being designed in 1960’s, the lamp is very contemporary.
This piece is in great vintage condition. There are some very small scratches due to normal wear and tear. All parts (including the switch, the bulb fitting, cord and the European plug) are original and fully functional.
