Product description
This original mid-century ceramic lamp is from Dümler & Breiden, one of the leading manufacturers of West German pottery. The shape, glaze, and decoration are typical of their 1970s designs and exemplify Dümler & Breiden's powerful, three-dimensional design language.
The green-glazed ceramic base with its textured surface features a richly detailed pattern and is highly decorative in combination with the green glaze.
The lampshade is not original but new, covered with a sturdy cotton decorative fabric from Scotland. The woven pattern gives the lamp a calm, graphic appeal and, in combination with the ceramic base, creates a harmonious overall impression.
The fabric is firm and provides a pleasant, warm light.
The newer fabric cable and socket were already installed when the lamp was purchased. We have tested the lamp for functionality. However, due to the age and nature of vintage lamps, the sale is made without warranty or liability for the electrical components. We recommend having the lamp inspected by a qualified electrician if necessary.
