This mid-century Beithcraft sideboard by Val Rossi, crafted in Scotland in the 1960s, is a striking example of sculptural design with character. Beithcraft was known for its refined woodwork, but this model demonstrates how craftsmanship and boldness converge in a single, powerful silhouette.
The warm teak displays a rich, deep glow that contrasts beautifully with the elegant lines. The iconic crossed legs – known as spider legs – give the sideboard its unique, almost architectural appearance. They support the piece lightly, as if it were floating, while the generous body exudes tranquility and balance. Behind the two doors, the flap, and three drawers unfolds practical storage space, thoughtfully organized and finished with subtly integrated handles.
