Price for lamp including shade
This elegant table lamp is based on an original Scheurich relief vase from the 1960s/70s. It is model 122-24 – a particularly popular vase from West German Pottery with ornamental relief decoration and a deep, glossy cobalt blue glaze.
Scheurich is one of the most renowned manufacturers of German Modernist ceramics. The elaborately designed relief vases of the late 1960s and early 1970s, in particular, are now considered classics of Mid-Century design.
The vase features an expressive floral decoration with flowing ornamental lines and almost baroque-style movements in the relief. Especially in combination with the deep blue glaze, this creates an extraordinary interplay of light and shadow. The textured surface is reminiscent of carved ornaments and harmonizes beautifully with the dynamic motif of the lampshade.
Dimensions:
Vase: 24 cm high
Total lamp height: approx. 49 cm
Lampshade: 23 cm diameter, 23 cm height
The lampshade is covered with a high-quality cotton fabric in a deep dark blue. The stylized crane motif is inspired by Japanese textile designs and perfectly complements the dynamic movement of the vase's relief ornaments. The red accents in the fabric and the red edging of the shade create warm contrasts to the cool cobalt blue glaze. When switched on, it creates a particularly atmospheric lighting effect.
Conversion to a lamp:
The vase has been expertly converted into a table lamp. The cable is routed directly into the socket at the back, leaving the ceramic untouched. Equipped with an E27 socket, transparent cable, rocker switch, and European plug. The vase has a small chip at the top opening, which has been professionally repaired – not a flaw.
A distinctive mid-century piece with authentic West German pottery origins – ideal as a stylish accent lamp for sideboards, lounges or modern room designs.
