An exceptional, large-format studio glass vase from the renowned Mdina Glassworks in Malta, dating from the early Michael Harris era. The elegant, teardrop-shaped silhouette with its delicately drawn neck lends the object an almost flame-like dynamism, making it a striking sculpture in any room. Particularly characteristic is the complex, multi-layered glass structure with incorporated bands of color in vibrant shades of orange, yellow, red, turquoise, and green, spiraling through the body. An additional, seemingly floating glass form inside adds depth and an almost organic sense of movement. Mouth-blown, free-formed, and bearing the original Mdina Glass Malta label, each piece is unique and possesses a strong studio character.
