Murano glass sconces produced by Mazzega are among the finest examples of artistic craftsmanship, particularly from the 1960s and 1970s.
This sconce features a gold-plated metal frame from which leaf-shaped glass elements hang, forming a cascade. Each leaf is handcrafted (as you can see in the photos, some leaves have small air bubbles; precisely because they are handcrafted, each piece is unique). The glass body is transparent, while the tips are milky white, created using the "vetro incamiciato" (layers of glass in different colors) technique.
When turned on, the sconce projects a warm light (depending on the desired effect and the bulbs chosen) that plays with the transparency and reflections of the glass, highlighting the white tips as luminous details. This sconce pairs perfectly with mid-century modern and Hollywood Regency spaces, as well as contemporary interiors seeking a refined contrast between antique and modern. The Mazzega name is a guarantee of quality, and authentic Murano glass adds even more value.
