Chemillé, a small town in Maine-et-Loire, was long known for its medicinal plant cultivation and its attachment to Anjou traditions. On this white porcelain mazagran, a couple in regional costume poses. He, in a black hat and blue jacket. She, in a brown dress with an apron, her coiffe lifted. Around them, touches of vegetation recall the Anjou countryside. The inscription "Chemillé" runs in black cursive letters above the scene. The shape is elegant.
