This Maxi Globe XL (Extra Large) pendant lamp (B-1261/H) was designed by Frank Ligtelijn in 1968 and is completely original. The lamp was produced by Raak (Amsterdam), one of the most important Dutch lighting manufacturers of the 20th century. Specific Space Age design. The shape of the pendant lamp refers to the essence and source of electric light: the incandescent lamp, invented by Thomas Alva Edison in 1879. The lamp is also called Maxi Light or Maxi Bulb. The Maxi Bulb comes in three sizes (M, L and XL). This is the largest (XL) version. The lamps have shades of gray-smoked glass and gold-tone brass fixtures. The lamp is very beautiful as a singular pendant lamp, but also sublime in combination with a few others. We have only a few of these lamps in stock in the same beautiful vintage status. The minimalist design is an excellent example of Raak's signature style and has become a vintage classic. This lamp is completely original and in very good vintage condition according to its age. The lamp has been checked and is fully working. Just screw in a bulb (E27 socket) to enjoy the 60's. For sophisticated indirect effects, a headlight bulb can be used. Comes without a light source.
