Maurice Calka Arflex Pair of Grand Prix Armchairs, 1960s Design.
An elegant pair of armchairs designed by Maurice Calka for Arflex in the 1960s, the Grand Prix model is one of the most iconic classics of Italian design from that period.
The seats feature the model's characteristic sinuous and enveloping lines, with a crisscrossed metal base and a soft, dynamic profile. They were reupholstered a few years ago with a Burberry-style checked fabric, which lends a bold, vintage character while maintaining the elegance of the original design.
The armchairs are overall in good aesthetic and structural condition, with comfortable padding and well-stretched fabric. Ideal for modern, mid-century, or eclectic environments, they are perfect as conversation pieces or design accents.
