This is a unique pair of Mattia Bonetti wall lights commissioned by the Hotel Cristal in Paris in 2009. The structure is made of aged bronze patina metal, with special vinyl shades mimicking the crystal. They are adjustable, and can rotate on their axis. These sconces are emblematic of Mattia Bonetti’s commitment to avant-garde, romantic style, always highly decorative. They have been fully restored and are found in amazing condition.
The price is for a pair. We have a total of 4 sconces (2 pairs) available.
Mattia Bonetti was born in Lugano, Switzerland, in 1952, and trained at the Centro Scolastico Industrie Artistiche in Lugano. He moved to Paris in 1972 and worked as a style consultant, textile designer and art photographer before turning to designing furniture in 1979 with Elisabeth Garouste. His work covers a large spectrum, from award-winning furniture design to interior design projects. In 1987 he developed the logo and visual character of Christian Lacroix, including their showroom and boutiques. 2009 was probably his most prolific year, with the complete redesign of the Hotel Cristal in Paris Champs Elysées, and the redesign of the Mark Hotel in New York, partnering with Jacques Grange.
