Armchair sz67
metal base, wooden armrests (Wenge), upholstered seat and back
89x72x84
collection 1964-1969
This armchair was purchased by my parents in 1965 and has remained in the family ever since. I am the second owner and it has been well cared for all these years. The armchair was last reupholstered in July 2017 (invoice is available). This time in De Ploeg, Landscape 07/12, a beautiful red coarsely woven fabric. This consists of 73% wool and 27% PE. The fabric is apparently no longer produced, because I can no longer find exact specifications on the De Ploeg website, but I remember that it is a project fabric with a very high UV resistance, which is a must for red fabrics.
There are virtually no signs of use on the black base. There are signs of wear on the Wengé from which the armrests are made, but these definitely contribute to the charm of this piece of furniture.
In 2017, reupholstering cost €220 for the fabric and €445.28 in labor. Together with the furniture, I think an asking price of at least €875 is reasonable. There are virtually no signs of use on the black base.
