"the road between the trees" by martin Neirynck. Framed oil on canvas by the Belgian painter martin Neirynck, originally from Bruges. Work alone: 70 X 90 X 2 cm. Framed: 72 X 92 X 3 cm oak frame. A painter inspired by his homeland, with a touch of Bernard Buffet. Martin Neirynck(1936-1996) was Professor of Plastic Education at the former Catholic University of Bruges-Ostend and at the Sint Andreas Teacher Training College in Bruges. He himself studied at the Sint Thomas Institute in Brussels. His studio was located at Sint Hubertuslaan in Sint Andries. His works are held in important private collections in his own country, as well as in Germany, France, Great Britain, Sweden, the Netherlands and Canada. He has taken part in numerous group exhibitions, but has also exhibited individually in Bruges, Blankenberge, Damme, Brussels and Knokke.
