Maryan van Berkel Tilburg (17-10-1942), Atelier Leidsezijstraat 9, Haarlem Course: -Academy Tilburg, Free department/Teachers training -Rijksacademie Amsterdam 5 year day course painting -Academie des Beauxs Arts Montpelier (Fr.) Painting Awards / Recognition - Uriot Prize Painting - Fund for Visual Art - Exhibitions at home and abroad - Work owned by the State and Municipalities The oil paintings by Marjan van Berkel are characterized by their firm approach with full, mixed colours. The theme can be alternately abstract and non-abstract (realistic), one does not exclude the other. As a result, a special event can arise in which more and more can be discovered. Attention is captured. The work offered, oil on canvas, 80 (h) x 90 (w) cm, is signed MvB on the front and on the back on the frame with MvB and full name. It is encased in a light-coloured wooden frame. Work was purchased from the artist around 1995 for NLG 2,800 (€1,275).
