Living Divani Wall2 Table – Piero Lissoni – Marble
Exceptionally low Wall2 coffee table by Living Divani, designed by the internationally renowned Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni.
Living Divani is one of the leading Italian design labels and is known for its extremely refined, architectural design language. Lissoni has been closely associated with the brand for decades as a designer and art director.
The Wall series was designed by Lissoni in 2000 and grew into an important foundation of the Living Divani collection; the brand itself even describes Wall as a starting point for the new generation of Living Divani designs from which Extra Wall and Extrasoft, among others, later emerged.
This Wall2 Table is a particularly minimalist interpretation of it:
Extremely slender, square stainless steel frame on which the 92 × 92 cm large and 2 cm thick marble top rests completely loosely, the height is 13 cm.
Precisely this extremely low lounge height of 13 cm defines the character of the table. Instead of standing as a traditional piece of furniture between seating areas, the large marble surface lies almost like an architectural plateau above the floor.
The slender stainless steel base largely disappears visually, making the heavy natural stone top almost seem to float. A strong example of Lissoni's understated, almost reduced design approach.
The top is made of a light cream-beige marble with grey, sand-coloured and locally warmer nuances, probably Sarda / Daino Reale. The natural, cloudy and layered veining makes each top unique and gives the large surface much more depth than a uniform white marble. Due to its neutral colour scheme, it combines easily with both understated modernist interiors and more pronounced fabrics, colours and vintage design.
The table is in very good used condition. The marble is well preserved and shows only slight superficial signs of use that may be visible in glancing light. The top rests loosely on the stainless steel frame and can therefore be transported separately.

Due to its exceptionally low height, the Wall2 can also be beautifully combined with low modular lounge elements, such as the Roche Bobois Mah Jong shown in some photos. The table and Mah Jong both have that distinct horizontal, almost floor-level 70s lounge proportion. The depicted Mah Jong in special upholstery is also available and is listed in a separate advertisement.
