Opaline floor lamp with marble effect by Ivan Jakeš for Sklarny Rapotin. Jakeš' lamps are characterized by their sleek, minimalist design, which was typical for the midcentury modern period in Czecholslovakia at that time, and the materials used (opaline glass on a ceramic foot). His bold and yet timeless lamp designs were widely appreciated at the time, winning him multiple design awards, and are still very much sought-after today.
