Special find, a Majolica Art Nouveau Jugendstil ceramic decorative plate with 3D relief.
A wonderful antique depiction of a woman in a floral scene. Beautiful colors in mainly amber, green, and blue; the reverse side is harder to photograph and is amber-colored.
Diameter 28-29 cm.
This Jugendstil beauty is a real mood setter. It looks lovely on a stand on a cabinet or side table, and also beautiful on the wall.
Majolica is a special technique used in ceramic making.
This ceramic plate is in good antique condition with imperfections consistent with its age; the glaze has developed craquelure, is sometimes a bit dull, and is peeling slightly at the edges.
Furthermore, there are some small chips, and on the back, 3 spots have been marked with yellow. See the photos.
