A beautiful and rare complete pair (pendant) of antique steel engravings from circa 1875. They feature the iconic literary characters Ophelia (from Shakespeare's Hamlet) and Marguerite (from Goethe's Faust). Artists: Engraved by Charles-Alphonse Deblois, after the original paintings by Jean-Baptiste (James) Bertrand. Publisher: Originally published by the famous Goupil & Cie. Condition: The prints are in good antique condition and are still in their original, matching gold-colored wooden frames with classic passe-partouts.
