A superb two-tiered serving table, emblematic of the 1950s work of Maison Jansen.
Its airy, patinated brass structure is highlighted by finely chiseled uprights, crowned with four elegant bronze pine cones at the corners.
The two shelves are upholstered in original dark leather, enhanced by a frieze of Greek key patterns inlaid with gold leaf.
It possesses the absolute charm of authenticity. The leather has a deep patina, and the marks of time, which bear witness to its history, give it an added soul that modern re-editions lack. The original cast brass casters are fully functional.
A metal bar is missing along one side of the lower shelf, but this is very discreet, almost invisible.
