Product description
Luis Filcer 1927 - 2018 was a Mexican Expressionist painter whose works generally deal with themes of injustice and struggle. His family fled from Ukraine to Mexico after the Russian Revolution to escape Jewish persecution, and Filcer grew up in Mexico City.
Near the Luis Enrique Erro Planetarium in Mexico City in Mecico the homeland of Luis Filcer we find his larger-than-life sculpture titled:
" La Espera "
Here two people spend an eternity waiting, sitting so as not to get tired. Although waiting, despite all the comforts, is still one of the worst moments we experience from time to time. And yes, while waiting we can feel our whole being undergo a kind of metamorphosis into forms as amorphous as, or even more amorphous, those of these images.
The sculpture offered here is very rare and comes directly from Luis Filcer himself. It was purchased during his Dutch period by a Dutch artist with whom Filcer collaborated at the time. I in turn purchased this work from this artist.
And by giving the two figures a different sitting position, you can create a different field of tension so that the sculpture actually forms another new work of art.
