The iconic "Brumbry" table lamp, designed by Luigi Massoni for Harvey Guzzini in 1969—one of the most recognizable Italian Space Age lamps from the late 1960s. Although many people know the lamp as the "Brumbury," the official model name is "Brumbry."
The lamp has a chrome-plated and white-lacquered metal base with a white acrylic (Perspex) shade, finished with a chrome ring that gives the lamp a sleek and graphic silhouette.
Inside, there are four E14 sockets: one directly under the shade and three in the base. The original black-and-white switch (typical of the early production years) allows you to operate the top light and the three side lights individually or simultaneously.
This is an early version of the Brumbry, recognizable by the characteristic black-and-white switch that was only used in the first years of production.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition—completely cleaned and chrome re-polished, with minimal signs of wear commensurate with its age. The plastic shade and base are in good condition. The wiring up to the switch has been replaced; the original wiring remains from the switch to the lamp base. The top section may flicker when you touch the cord, but it burns steadily during normal use.
