The famous pendant lamp Trama by top Italian brand Luceplan was designed by Luciano Balestrini and Paola Longhi in the 1980s and has since been considered a postmodern design icon with eternal value.
This version is height adjustable with decorative counterweight.
The lampshade (bulb segment, about 11 cm deep, diameter about 50 cm) is made of satinized polycarbonate that gives a beautiful diffuse light emission, encased in a round anodized aluminum frame. Light source halogen rod bulb in R7s socket, also suitable for LED. Ceiling cap in aluminum, diameter approx. 17 cm.
The metal of the adjustment system shows some superficial stains; hardly noticeable once hung (see last photo)-and well worth the difference from a new one (costing 572 Euros). The polycarbonate is in beautiful condition.
