Colors have the ability to compliment each other from light to dark or just from bright to dull. The hard part about it is that balancing the colors properly is not a science but a feeling. This feeling is what makes abstract art so interesting but also so much of a commotion. Apparently it still brought out a feeling in the viewer that he is trying to put into words.
The series: EXPRESS took more than 10,000 hours to create and the way it is constructed is characteristic of the style. Playing with color and shape adds an extra dimension so that as a viewer you are taken on a journey into your own imagination. The frame is designed by myself without seams on the front which in my view are distracting. Inspired by old masters such as Jackson Pollack and Willem de Kooning mixed with my own invented techniques through the use of multiple layers.
