Product description
Terracotta bowl in the style of the Swedish-born artist Louise Gardelle (born in 1944), from the Landes region of France. Unsigned, but stylistically consistent with the artist's work.
This bowl is distinguished by its decoration of two female figures in relief, an emblematic motif of her work, characterized by expressive female representations and a strong pictorial presence.
Made of terracotta, it presents an elegant contrast between glazed and unglazed areas, highlighting the natural materiality of the clay as well as the modeling and hand-painting, all done in a vibrant color palette. An authentic piece of art, this bowl is a fine example of the artist's personal aesthetic and her expressive and decorative ceramic production.
