A unique vintage piece with a fresh, modern charm! This antique open sideboard (or bookcase) boasts a rustic-chic style inspired by Louis XV (recognizable by its scalloped cornice and cabriole legs). A typical French creation from the 1980s, it combines solid wood (oak/beech for the frame, uprights, cornice, and curved legs) with plywood (for the interior panels and back), ensuring both strength and stability. Originally entirely dark brown, it has undergone a complete, handcrafted restoration, giving it a bright and contemporary second life. 🛠️ The restoration work carried out: Preparation: Complete cleaning, meticulous sanding, and application of a primer. Painting: Exterior: Blue chalk paint with a velvety, elegant, and deep finish, protected by wax. Interior: Soft beige/ecru to create a luminous contrast and highlight your books or decorative objects, protected by varnish. Replacement of the old shelf supports and custom-made construction of two new, sturdy shelves. Details: Original brass handles and hinges retained. Very good overall condition. This carefully restored, second-hand piece retains subtle signs of age that contribute to the charm of vintage furniture. 📐 Dimensions: Height: 160 cm.
