Product description
Original Model No. 15 coffee table designed by Louis van Teeffelen for WéBé, The Netherlands, dating from the 1960s. A beautiful example of van Teeffelen’s characteristic organic design language. The table has a sculptural solid teak frame with softly shaped legs and an integrated woven rattan magazine shelf underneath. The real eye-catcher is the original ceramic tile composition by Jaap Ravelli, with its abstract geometric pattern in black, white, grey and red. The combination of Ravelli ceramics, warm teak and woven rattan gives this model its distinctive character. The table has been carefully restored. The teak was sanded and treated with fresh oil to bring back its natural warm colour, while the rattan magazine shelf was professionally restored. It is ready to be used and enjoyed again. A particularly attractive piece for collectors of Louis van Teeffelen, WéBé, Jaap Ravelli and Dutch mid-century modern design.
