A particularly elegant, beautifully sized coffee table crafted from teak.
This beautifully designed coffee table is attributed to top designer Louis van Teeffelen.
For the WéBé company, he designed several beautiful pieces of furniture in the mid-1960s, excelling in both material choice and design. The organic shapes are striking and reminiscent of Scandinavian design, yet are nonetheless distinctly unique in their design.
The table top is in good condition; there are no major scratches or stains on the top. Of particular note is a repair carried out by the original owners in 1972, when a veneer repair was performed on the short side. The photos show this "sign of wear." Despite this, it remains a very distinctive piece of furniture, ready for immediate use and with a unique story to tell. The frame is also beautifully stable.
The magazine rack at the bottom is very generously sized and consists of solid teak slats.
