Producer: Louis Poulsen Design: Verner Panton Dimensions: H 130 cm x Ø 50 cm Origin: Denmark Model: 28715 Material: plastic - metal Period: 1970's Electrical: E27 socket - 110/220V - pressure switch - European plug Condition: Excellent condition - barely used with minimal signs of use and signs of age - shade has 3 wafer-thin hairline in the middle however not distracting - other condition nice - original and working. Brand: Louis Poulsen (designed by Verner Panton in 1971) Danish design classic. Nice clean original 1st edition floor lamp by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen, 1972. The original edition has the on/off switch integrated in the base, and not -as recent models- on the cord. The design is inspired by the mushroom-shaped cloud left behind by a neutron bomb when it is detonated; such as at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. This is an all-time design classic by one of the most influential designers of the 20th century, mainly for his Space Age designs, Verner Panton. It was manufactured by Louis Paulsen Denmark, in the early 1970s. The lamp is numbered and labeled under the base with the manufacturer's name. Some signs of use are visible, but considering that the lamp is 50 years old, it is in amazingly good condition. We can include the original 3-stage sorting lamp for an additional charge. This lamp works with the switch for a 60W, 100W, 160W light intensity. The lamp is still wired for this, so it works immediately as it should when this lamp is used. Please note that these bulbs are no longer made and are extremely rare, we still have 3 in stock. If you use a current lamp with this bulb, you will need to press the switch twice to turn it on and twice to turn it off.
