Louis Poulsen Enigma, designed by Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama for the Danish lighting brand Louis Poulsen.
This specific model in the photo, with four acrylic discs, is the Enigma 425.
Features and Design
Floating effect: The name "Enigma" (mystery) refers to the screens that appear to float. This effect is created by connecting the discs with ultra-thin stainless steel wires.
Light distribution: The lamp offers glare-free, soft light. The top of the discs is matte to diffuse the light, while the glossy underside ensures optimal reflection downwards.
Materials: The conical top is made of brushed aluminum and the screens are made of matte acrylic.
Available Variants
Enigma 425: 4 discs (as pictured), diameter 42.2 cm, height 74 cm. In good condition, minimal signs of use commensurate with age.
