Lot of two French coins from the Third and Fourth Republics, sold together. 2 Francs 1948 – Morlon type: aluminum, obverse features a profile bust of Marianne (engraver Morlon), reverse reads "2 FRANCS / 1948 / LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ" with an olive branch. Condition VF. 25 Centimes 1932 – Lindauer type: cupro-nickel, distinctive central hole, obverse features "RF" within a laurel wreath, reverse reads "25 Cmes / 1932 / LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ". Condition VF to XF, beautiful grey patina. Two coins bearing witness to daily French life during the interwar period and post-war era. Ideal for starting a collection of 20th-century French coins, or for completing a Morlon or Lindauer series. To display in a collector's frame or to place in a coin album: these two pieces alone tell the monetary history of France from 1932 to 1948.
