Made of Limoges porcelain, this set includes a cup and its saucer, a creamer, and a lidded sugar bowl with two handles. The luminous white porcelain features a remarkably understated decoration. A deep cobalt blue is accompanied by delicate gilded accents. No flowers or overly ornate patterns. All the elegance lies in the lines, the proportions, and the contrast of the three colors. The cup has a gently curved shape resting on a small foot. Its saucer repeats the same blue and gold banding, creating a beautiful frame when they are together. The creamer, more slender, has a delicately sculpted spout and a generous handle. The beautifully rounded sugar bowl is topped with its domed lid, finished with an elegant finial. Its two handles give it that immediately recognizable silhouette of French tableware from the mid-20th century. The set plays with volumes. The roundness of the sugar bowl, the verticality of the creamer, and the lower lines of the cup and saucer form a particularly harmonious composition.
