Description:
Solid beechwood frame with angled legs, completely sanded, stained, and lacquered; backrest with horizontal, tapered slats; spherically shaped armrests; new foam cushions; new upholstery with button tufting; newly crafted beechwood seat frame with new webbing and new protective fabric with additional foam padding; all seams are finished with elegant flat-felled stitching according to the original pattern (in this type of seam, the individual upholstery pieces interlock like finger wrestling and are then double-stitched. This type of seam is therefore considerably more robust, has significantly higher tensile strength, and is considerably more durable than single/standard seams).

A particularly robust and heavy (almost 700g/m) premium upholstery fabric was chosen, featuring a very attractive, distinctive woven texture where two-tone colors further accentuate the weave. This highly textured upholstery fabric is easy to care for and durable. It boasts a very high abrasion resistance of over 100,000 rubs, thus offering twice the durability of upholstery fabrics intended for high-traffic public buildings (highest quality range according to Martindale) (starting at 50,000 rubs).
Excursus: Abrasion resistance / Rubbing cycles...
Abrasion resistance refers to a fabric's resistance to abrasion. This value plays a particularly important role in a fabric's durability. The most common method for determining the abrasion resistance of textiles, especially upholstery fabrics, is the Martindale method, named after its inventor. This involves mechanically simulating the natural wear and tear of a seat cover. The number of abrasion cycles (rub cycles) until the fabric is damaged is counted. The higher the number of cycles, the more abrasion-resistant/durable the fabric. The scale ranges from 6,000 to 100,000.

Condition:
It's easy to describe: imagine a brand new armchair. The result is so good that it's indistinguishable from a new one (if such a thing existed). You won't find a single sign of wear!
Please note that this is not a cheap, amateurish paint job with a brush or roller and hardware store materials, but rather a sophisticated, professional spray-painting job using traditional materials, like those used in the 1960s and 70s. This results in a silky-smooth, glossy surface where the grain is clearly visible and remains pleasantly tactile.
Please bear in mind that other sellers' euphemisms like "newly painted" are by no means synonymous with "spray-painted." As already mentioned, this usually means typical "painting" with a brush and roller, resulting in unsightly imperfections such as clearly visible brushstrokes or the familiar "orange peel" effect. You can immediately see this if you view the furniture surfaces from the side against the light. If in doubt, ask questions about the painting method or, even better, request photos of the "newly painted" surfaces backlit!
