RRP: 8,000 EUR For sale is a set of original Danish Holstebro lounge chairs in exhibition condition, which are almost indistinguishable from new furniture! ITEM: 2x lounge chairs, designed in the 1960s. FINISH: Teak, new wool. STYLE: Danish / Mid-Century Modern / Scandinavian. DESCRIPTION: The set features a solid teak frame consisting of two curved side elements with integrated runners and sculpturally crafted armrests, as well as a seating module. The seating module has a fitted seat frame with upholstered belt covering, covered with a protective stretch fabric with an additional foam insert. It is doweled and screwed to the side elements and can therefore be removed. The comfortable, high-quality cold foam cushions are covered with a very robust premium new wool cover in the classic, coarsely woven salt & pepper weave, removable with a zipper. The seams used are executed as elegant felled seams (with this seam, the individual cover pieces interlock like finger hooks and are then double-stitched. This seam is therefore considerably more robust, has significantly higher tensile strength, and is significantly more durable than conventional single/standard seams). The cushions feature a classic drawstring bar, thus following the contours of the back and seat, offering a particularly comfortable and ergonomic seating experience. The richness of the solid teak, the extremely elaborately produced side elements, the high-quality upholstery, and the overall quality of workmanship are testament to the exceptional value of this piece of furniture. The teak has a vibrant grain with a beautiful, visible wood structure. Reddish tones become redder and colors generally appear brighter. The shadow areas, or areas not directly illuminated by the photo light, best reflect the colors in real life. Shine in the photos, or grayish or milky areas, are also due to exposure or lighting (reflections). The surfaces have a satin matt to satin gloss finish. DIMENSIONS: approx. Width: 73cm; Depth: 80cm; Height: 82cm; Seat height: 45cm; Seat depth 53cm CONDITION: As new! We received these armchairs in almost new condition. We performed a light teak restoration by carefully deep-cleaning the teak and re-oiling it with oils we developed ourselves. The result is beautiful teak characterized by a vibrant grain with a wonderful depth of effect and a pleasantly warm feel. We always clean textile covers, even if they are free of stains or do not appear dirty. A careful special new wool cleaning refreshes the colors and imparts a pleasant fragrance to the furniture. The result: The armchairs are indistinguishable from new furniture, or at least barely distinguishable. For example, there is no discernible difference from the new, still-sealed replacement cushion (see ad for the accompanying sofa)! Here, too, you are welcome to search worldwide; you won't find it in better condition anywhere. We have looked at all the offers! This ensemble is perfect for a design enthusiast looking for a new piece of furniture and wanting to save a lot of money, or for someone looking for a top-quality piece at a fair price-performance ratio and not willing to compromise on condition. ________________________________________ FORMER NEW PRICE / LIST PRICE / COMPARISON PRICE: This chair is currently produced in a slightly modified form by Dyrlund Denmark (Model 1210).
