It was first produced in 1961 under the name Mod Balum A-230 by the company Arteluce.
From 1965 to 1974, it was produced by Flos/Arteluce (both brands appear on the base of the lamp) under its definitive name, Light Ball.
Arteluce was then definitively acquired by Flos in 1974.
This lamp can be used as a wall light, ceiling light, or table lamp. It has a small, round opening on the side (a characteristic feature) for the electrical cord.
It is shown here in its wall-mounted version.
It is its original ivory white color and in very good condition for its age.
There are a few minor marks due to age.
The opaline glass is neither cracked nor broken.
Flos/Arteluce markings are present on the base.
