Large vintage tapestry titled "Jeu de Sphinges" designed by the French artist Leonor Fini in 1985. The tapestry is in good condition with minimal signs of wear and is marked and numbered on the back: no. 95 of 500. See photos. Leonor Fini (1907 Buenos Aires -1996 Paris).
Fini is one of the most important female artists of the 20th century. Her surrealist works are related to Salvador Dali, Max Ernst and Giorgio de Chirico, with whom she also maintained personal ties. The paintings and etchings are represented in important museum collections such as Tate Modern, Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA New York and Fine Arts Museum Brussels.
