About the designer of this piece:
In 1980, Hugo de Ruiter (born 1959) started as a product developer at Leolux. He became head of the Product Development department and in-house designer at Leolux. He successfully combined his craftsmanship with his design skills. This resulted in furniture that focused on movement. In 2001, he left Leolux and began a "second life" as an independent designer; he wanted to further develop his style and give his creativity new impetus. Hugo de Ruiter still regularly works for Leolux from his studio. This Trias table is a prime example of movement in furniture. The three legs of the round table create a very stable table without any legs getting in the way. The table was designed to be extended, where an extension leaf could be added. This table doesn't have one, but its functionality remains.
