Product description
You usually see the Tango as a 2-seater sofa or larger, but this is a 1 to 1.5-person chair. With the armrests and backrest in the upright position, it becomes a lovely armchair perfect for reading, watching a movie, or simply drifting off to sleep. Especially when you place the footstool in front and rest your legs on it, it connects perfectly to the seat of the chair.
And you can lower and lock the armrests, so at least two people can fit on it... nice and snug together. You can simply sit together, or one on the other's lap :-)
Furthermore, if you lower the backrest, a comfortable resting place is created, for a nice concert on TV or Spotify, or just for that handsome nap.
This chair is in very good condition; there are no tears or scuffs. The chair is 30 years old, so signs of use are normal: some discoloration in the seat, and a little craquelé in the armrests where hands have been placed. The leather of the chair has been regularly cleaned with leather cleaner and subsequently restored to strength and shine with a colorless leather oil.
The legs are made of beautifully curved aluminum.
The manufacturer's certificate is also included.
The Leolux Tango was designed by Jan Armgardt and first introduced in 1984. Armgardt says: ‘I find it immoral to throw away a piece of furniture after a few years because it is worn out or outdated.’
His designs are distinguished by their timeless design and clear styling.
Armgardt’s designer furniture has won various prestigious awards, including the Good Design Award (Chicago) and Good Industrial Design (Rotterdam). Since 1992, Jan Armgardt has been affiliated with the Technical University of Aachen as a guest lecturer.
In the normal position, the chair is a maximum of 105 cm wide, 100 cm deep, and 96 cm high. The ottoman is 55 cm wide, 45 cm deep, and 40 cm high. The seat height is 45 cm at the front edge; the seat slopes slightly downwards towards the backrest for a comfortable posture.
