Product description
A charming blown-glass lemonade set, comprising a carafe and seven matching glasses. The hand-applied frieze design combines textured lemons with a yellow, granite-like relief and finely drawn gilt foliage—a motif characteristic of French tableware produced in the 1960s and 70s. The carafe is distinguished by its attached handle and concentric stepped foot, a feature also found on the base of the glasses; the small bubbles in the glass are a testament to its handcrafted nature. A warm and summery piece, perfect for setting a pretty table or adding a vintage touch to your everyday tableware. The set is in good overall condition. There is a very small chip on the inner rim of one of the glasses, which is harmless and not sharp, as well as some slight fading of the gilding in places, indicative of normal wear for the age of the piece. The carafe also has a few light scratches from use on the base, barely noticeable and not detracting from its aesthetic appeal. The glass remains perfectly clear, without any clouding.
