An exceptional piece of Swiss craftsmanship: this Le Castel Duchesse clock from 1958 combines classic Louis XV style with refined craftsmanship.
The pearwood case is richly decorated with hand-carved feet and moldings, while the solid bronze ornaments are chiseled and decorated with hammered gold leaf. Unique are the hand-painted floral decorations, originally personalized for the first owner.
The clock is in beautiful working order and features a charming double bell that chimes every half hour. It comes with the original key and wall bracket.
Such clocks are still made to order today, with a market value of around €4,500, depending on specific requests. A rare and timeless collector's item for lovers of classic Swiss clocks.
