Product description
Iconic early Pipistrello table lamp designed by Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce, Italy, during the 1970s. One of the most celebrated lighting designs of the 20th century, the Pipistrello is renowned for its sculptural silhouette, innovative telescopic base and timeless Italian design.
This is the desirable large version, featuring the original height-adjustable satin stainless steel telescopic stem, allowing the lamp to be extended by up to 20 cm. The white base is complemented by the characteristic opal white methacrylate diffuser, creating a soft and atmospheric light.
The lamp is fully functional and fitted with four E17 sockets. It has not been inspected by a professional electrician. It is presented in neat vintage condition with minor age-related signs of use, including minimal melted spots on the diffuser and small dents on the base, all consistent with its age.
