For sale: A magnificent, postmodern vintage table lamp by Philips from the 1980s. With its impressive height of 53 cm, this 'beacon lamp' is an absolute eye-catcher in any contemporary Mid-Century Modern, postmodern, or Japandi interior.
Design and Materials
The lamp has a beautifully streamlined design. The conically tapering base is made of warm hardwood and rests on a sleek, black wooden base. The generous, tulip-shaped shade is made of high-quality, hand-blown white opaline glass (milk glass). This creates an incredibly beautiful, diffuse, and atmospheric light.
Condition and Quality
The lamp is in excellent vintage condition. The opaline glass is completely intact: no chips, cracks, or scratches. The inside of the E27 fitting contains the original Philips part coding. The bottom of the wooden base is equipped with the original cast iron stabilization weight, making the lamp extremely stable. The cord and Euro plug are original and technically in safe, working condition.
