Rare large vintage Venetian cage pendant / hall lantern, attributed to Seguso, Murano, Italy, 1950s-1960s. A true statement piece: Hand-blown balloon-shaped Murano glass in a warm mottled red / orange graniglia technique, caged in its original black wrought iron frame with hand-forged scroll details. When off, the glass shows a beautiful dusty pink-red matte texture. When lit, it glows into a deep warm amber-orange, as shown in photos - the magic of real Murano. Dimensions: • Glass + cage: H 50 cm, diameter approx. 29 cm (circumference 91 cm) • Chain + cord: 56 cm (total drop approx. 106 cm, easily extendable) • Model: Extra large, much bigger than the standard 35cm models Condition: Very good vintage condition. No cracks or chips in the glass, some patina on the iron cage consistent with age.
