This exceptional large vintage Moroccan Talsint rug originates from the Aït Bouchaoun area, in southeastern Morocco, a region known for its deeply expressive Berber textiles. Handwoven during the mid to late 20th century, this rare piece reflects the raw and instinctive weaving tradition of the Talsint tribes.
Made from 100% natural sheep wool, this rug features an all-over abstract composition built around rhythmic diamond formations and spontaneous variations. The color palette blends deep magenta, purple, soft pink, charcoal, and natural wool tones, creating a rich visual texture with remarkable depth. These nuanced colors and irregular patterns are characteristic of authentic vintage Talsint rugs and cannot be reproduced by modern production.
