This large French enameled ceramic oven dish first captivates with its generous shape and beautiful wavy rim, which gives it a presence quite different from traditional baking dishes. Made by BCI and marked Made in France, it dates from the 1960s-1970s production period, a time when tableware readily embraced these natural and warm tones. Its enamel subtly transitions from cream to honey brown and caramel, with slight firing variations that give the surface its full depth. Its dimensions, approximately 33 × 18 cm with a height of nearly 7 cm, make it a generous piece, designed to transition seamlessly from kitchen to table. Today, its typically vintage design and palette also allow it to be used as a large serving platter. It has been remarkably preserved and is in very good overall condition. Some discreet signs of age can be observed, mainly on the unglazed part of the underside, without affecting the quality or aesthetics of the piece. A beautiful 20th-century French ceramic, both functional and decorative, whose caramel and cream tones are once again finding their place in contemporary interiors.
