Very beautiful large handcrafted carved wooden Barong wall mask, marked "BALI" in relief on the back. Vintage, from the second half of the 20th century, circa 1960-1980. Monoxylous in exotic wood, possibly teak, left in a beautiful natural and unpainted shade. Very richly carved face, decorated with volutes, horns and openwork elements, with a slight natural asymmetry between the two sides. Hanging hook present on the back. 47cm high, 26.5cm wide and 13cm max depth. Good general condition. Several old and discreet imperfections are noted: a front mustache has been re-glued, missing parts are present on three horns as well as on the tip of each ear, a natural wood crack appears on the left side at the bottom of the crown, and slight wear is visible on the lower left tip of the beard. Nevertheless, the whole retains a very beautiful appearance thanks to the uniform shade of the wood which has been nourished. Approximately 1.200kg.
