Product description
Large hollow terracotta candlestick from Tamegroute, Morocco, a relatively vintage piece from the early 2000s. Its slender, screw-shaped silhouette is sculptural, enhanced by a magnificent glaze nuanced with deep greens, browns, and blacks, featuring the characteristic drips and irregularities of this type of craftsmanship. Handcrafted using the traditional techniques of the potters of the Drâa Valley.
Approximately 14-15 cm in diameter at the base, 55.5 cm high. 5 cm diameter top opening. In very good overall condition, with a small, discreet chip on the bottom side and a slightly larger one higher up, also discreet, as well as a few small chips under the original, invisible base. There is also a slight, original white speckling on one side, along with the firing and glazing irregularities typical of this handcrafted piece. 5 kg.
