A rare and magnificent large-format reading lamp, produced in Sweden by the renowned brand ALDA between 1976 and 1980, is available for purchase.
While the short desk lamp version is common, this floor lamp with a tall pole is a true rarity on the design market, especially in its original Bordeaux Red color.
Features and Design Details:
* Certified Model: Original label (see photo), part of which has recently been removed. (Two photos available)
* Architecture & Materials: Robust structure combining a Bordeaux Red lacquered metal pole with black Bakelite/rubber finishing elements.
The pole is constructed from two interlocking sections, structured by its original central connecting sleeve.
Thanks to the flexibility of its black gooseneck, which can be oriented in any direction, the height is fully adjustable. The reading lamp measures 130 cm at its maximum height but can be lowered and compacted to 100 cm as needed. * Iconic design: Dome-shaped lampshade with a double row of geometric perforations on the back for soft light diffusion and optimal heat dissipation.
* Condition: In very good overall cosmetic and working condition. The original lacquer has a superb shine. There are a few marks, tiny scratches, and the base appears to have been touched up, but it remains in very good condition for its age.
Please feel free to request additional photos. The cable is very long (150 cm), allowing it to be installed in any corner. Of course, it works perfectly.
