Large old copper kettle – Arbucias / JN
Beautiful large old hand-hammered copper kettle with an iron rim and handle. It is a beautiful and atmospheric object due to its size, weathered appearance, and natural patina.
On one side, ARBUCIAS is written in copper, and on the other side, JN. Arbucias possibly refers to Arbúcies in Catalonia. We do not know exactly how old the kettle is or what the initials JN mean.
The kettle is in beautiful condition and, as far as we can see, has never been repaired. Naturally, there are the necessary signs of use and discoloration, which, in our opinion, are part of the charm of such an old piece. There is a small crack of about 2 cm at the bottom. We have never polished it ourselves, precisely because we appreciate the natural patina as it is.
Due to its size, it is a real eye-catcher and can be used decoratively in many ways. Diameter approx. 52.5 cm
