For sale is a beautiful, large saint figure from an estate: Saint Catherine of Alexandria with her classic attribute, the broken spiked wheel artfully carved from wood. The figure comes from well-maintained first ownership and was acquired to match the design classics of that era. It is characterized by first-class, traditional craftsmanship: • Origin & Authenticity: On the underside is the undamaged, period-typical original label as a seal of origin and quality: "Genuine and valuable, hand-carved in linden wood from Oberammergau". • Age: Vintage original from the late 1960s to 1970s, from a pet-free, non-smoking household. The noble linden wood has beautifully darkened over the decades. • Dimensions: Stately large figure with a height of approx. 55 cm (from base to head) Finish: Artfully hand-painted and elegantly partially gilded. The fine crackle look of the painting (antique finish) is a deliberate artistic stylistic device from the factory to give the figure its historical appearance. • Condition: Excellent, flawless collector's condition.
