Product description
Magnificent and unusual, large vase or jar without a lid, Khabia, handcrafted ceramic/earthenware, hand-painted, Morocco, Fez. Antique, late 19th/early 20th century. Tall form with a narrow base and body, rounded top, and a short, narrow neck. White earthenware, hand-painted with very fine, stylized traditional geometric and floral motifs in monochrome cobalt blue. Exquisite detail work. 31cm high, approximately 17cm maximum diameter, 10cm minimum diameter at the neck. Very good condition, with four minor imperfections on the neck, possibly original (perhaps from a kiln support), slightly visible. Some minor manufacturing flaws, stains, bubbles, and some discreet wear at the base of the foot. Approximately 2.5-3kg.
